Leeds Jewish community survey

February 2025

Last January, ICCD completed the Leeds Jewish Community Survey, a unique community study sponsored by the Leeds Jewish Representative Council. The study collected close to 800 responses from both community members and non-members.

Aimed at understanding community members’ perceptions, interactions, needs, and experiences, the survey asked respondents about issues including their level of engagement with the Leeds Jewish community, children’s Jewish education, disabilities, and post-October 7th experiences.

The survey resulted from fruitful work led by David Gidron z”l, who, as head of the JDC community resilience program, has worked with the Leeds community, the third largest in the United Kingdom, since 2018.

The study is part of ICCD’s ongoing program to help communities, large and small, anywhere in Europe gather data and make data-driven decisions.
